Theresa Dextrase

Osteopathic Manual Therapist (OMT)

A session with Theresa involves primarily gentle osteopathic palpation and manipulation. She hopes to bring you more in touch with how you are living in your body, and your internal resources. All work takes place within your comfort.
Theresa has been a health professional since 1995. Her diplomas include:

Osteopathy (Registered with the AAOMT)

Theresa completed a 7-year program with the Canadian School of Osteopathy—Manual Practice (Vancouver Campus) in April of 2016. She won a research award for her thesis, A Qualitative study of the Osteopathic Manual Therapist as Educator in Clinical Practice and thus was entitled to and completed an extra year of advanced studies with the main campus of the college in Montréal, Collège d’Études Ostéopathique. She continues to pursue advanced studies. In Europe, Australia, or New Zealand, this particular training would allow her to be called an osteopath; but in most of Canada and in the United States, osteopaths are medical doctors. Her title in Alberta is Osteopathic Manual Therapist (OMT).
