Brian Welling, BA, MA
Registered Psychologist & Clinical Director
I am a registered psychologist in Edmonton with a specialization in both transpersonal and Jungian psychology.
I am a former instructor of psychology at both MacEwan University and in the Dept. of Psychotherapy and Spirituality at St. Stephen’s College. I received my MA in Counselling Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Vancouver, my BA in Religious Studies at the University of Alberta, and completed a 3-year certificate in integrated Psychedelic Therapy after working intensively with shamans in Peru, Colombia, Gabon, and Mexico.
Nothing that you bring up will be too “weird” or “out there” for me. I am very familiar with and open to a wide variety of paranormal or transpersonal experiences involving consciousness. I am a transpersonal psychologist who supports people who have had challenging psychedelic experiences, mystical experiences, and various types of paranormal experiences that may be negatively judged or scoffed at by society, as a whole. I will take your experience seriously and treat you with kindness and respect. Nothing you bring will be dismissed as “too strange” or “too much.”
My goal is to help you make sense of and integrate your experiences whether they involve mysticism, magic, kundalini awakenings, spiritual emergencies, existential crises, or deep confrontations with an ethereal realm or your shadow side. I am here to help.
Brian is both a VAC and NIHB provider, and offers direct billing to most insurers.

What if the only thing standing between you and the life you want is a story you’ve been telling yourself for years?
Who would you be if fear wasn’t making your decisions?
Therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about discovering the parts of you that have been waiting to be seen.
Are You Ready to Be Seen?
Do you find yourself holding back from being fully seen?
Maybe you’ve spent years carrying shame, guilt, or old stories that tell you you’re not enough, that you’re undeserving, or that it’s safer to stay small.
Have you ever wondered who you could become if those fears no longer held you back?
Imagine living from a place of confidence, authenticity, and inner peace—feeling more connected to yourself and creating the life you truly desire.
As a trauma-informed, transpersonal therapist, I offer a compassionate space where you can explore the patterns that keep you stuck, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and move toward lasting healing and meaningful change.
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. I believe you already have the capacity for growth within you. Sometimes we simply need guidance, support, and a safe place to uncover the person we’ve always been beneath the fear.
You don’t have to wait until life feels overwhelming. Like navigating a ship, it’s often easier to make small course corrections before reaching the iceberg than to recover after impact.
If you’ve been putting yourself last, now is the time to invest in your own well-being.
Many extended health benefit plans cover counselling or psychotherapy—and direct billing is available for most providers under Psychological Services for Registered/Clinical Counsellors or Psychotherapists.
Each 50-minute session with Deanna is available for a $130 fee.

Integration of Psychedelic and Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness
Profound experiences can open the door to healing, insight, and transformation, but making sense of them often requires time, reflection, and support.
Whether your experience arose through psychedelics, breathwork, meditation, spiritual awakening, or another non-ordinary state of consciousness, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to help you explore its meaning and integrate its insights into your daily life.
My approach is rooted in transpersonal psychology and informed by Jungian, somatic, shamanic, and other experiential traditions. Together, we may explore archetypal imagery, spiritual emergence, mystical experiences, shadow material, existential questions, grief, trauma, or the challenges that can follow expanded states of consciousness. Rather than interpreting your experience for you, I believe its deepest wisdom is uniquely your own. My role is to help you listen for it and support its integration in ways that foster healing, authenticity, and wholeness.
Please note: I provide psychedelic integration psychotherapy for individuals who have already had psychedelic experiences. I do not administer psychedelic substances, recommend their use, or provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
Each session with Wendy is available for a $140 fee and is eligible for extended health benefits through some insurance companies. She is currently offering in person, video, and phone sessions.
